Give Your Child The Best Opportunity Possible

An Eye Exam
may be the best
opportunity
you give your child.

One in four school-age children has an undiagnosed vision problem that can interfere with learning.

Warning Signs of Vision Problems in Children
  • Squinting, closing or covering one eye
  • Constantly holding materials close to the face
  • A short attention span or frequent daydreaming
  • A drop in scholastic or athletic performance
  • Poor eye/hand coordination
  • Avoiding close work
  • Complaints of headaches, double-vision, or blurring
  • Tilting the head or moving the head back and forth while reading
  • Omitting, miscalling, or repeating words when reading aloud
  • Rubbing eyes repeatedly
  • One or both eyes turn in or out
  • Family history of "lazy eye" or "thick glasses"

If you notice any of these symptoms, make sure your child sees an eye doctor for a comprehensive children’s eye exam.

    MyOptics Recommends

If eye glasses are advised for your child's eyes, our Board Certified Opticians recommend choosing polycarbonate material for his or her lenses.

    The Benefits of PolyCarbonate Lenses
Polycarbonate lenses are the most impact resistance lenses available and are always the lens of choice for young people and active patients. Polycarb lenses are high index and are usually the lightest, most comfortable lenses. They absorb all harmful UV light and can be made with ultra thin edges because of their unique strength.

Call MyOptics at (303)291-0202 for more information on polycarb lenses or visit the MyOptics website.
